Treatment: Implant and Alignment
The patient presented to our practice over a year ago following the loss of a premolar due to infection, resulting in significant bone loss in the affected area. His primary objective was to restore the space where the tooth was lost.
Given the extent of the bone loss, we initiated a ridge augmentation procedure utilising Dentsply Ossix bone and Ossix Volumax materials. During the healing phase, the patient expressed interest in not only restoring the space but also enhancing the aesthetics of his smile through alignment and whitening.
To address these concerns, we implemented Invisalign clear braces for orthodontic alignment. Following the successful completion of the orthodontic treatment, we proceeded with implant placement, which was facilitated by the previously achieved ridge augmentation.
Subsequently, we employed Enlighten tooth whitening, which significantly enhanced the overall appearance of his smile. We concluded the smile makeover with composite edge bonding to refine the alignment and an Atlantis/Emax implant restoration, ensuring it matched the natural teeth seamlessly.
The results have been remarkable, and the patient is now unable to stop smiling! 🤩

The patient presented with older crowns exhibiting poor margins, expressing dissatisfaction with the aesthetic appearance of her smile, particularly due to the upward inclination of the teeth on the left side. Additionally, the teeth exhibited significant discoloration, and she sought to improve their overall shade.
After thorough consultation, we decided to initiate treatment with Invisalign clear aligners to achieve proper alignment of the teeth. This was subsequently followed by the Enlighten teeth whitening system, resulting in a noticeable improvement in colour compared to the previous crowns.
Once the new shade stabilised, we replaced the old crowns with Emax crowns that matched the improved colour. Additionally, the left side of her smile was refined using a composite bonding technique to enhance the shape of the teeth.
The results of this comprehensive treatment were remarkable, and the patient was extremely pleased with her new smile.
